“Melinda immediately put me at ease when I went into my first class. She has a special way of helping her students begin to connect to the flow of chi in their bodies and her way of explaining the movement is creative and easy to follow.”
——Tai Chi Student
Melinda Franceschini brings 25 years of practice to her gentle and powerful teaching style. She has benefitted from her practice greatly over the years and loves to witness how the practice enhances the lives of others.
Melinda has studied Tai Chi, Qigong and Bagua extensively with Master Bruce Frantzis and his senior instructors, notably Bill Ryan of Toward Harmony Tai Chi and Qigong. Master Frantzis is a disciple of Grandmaster Liu Hung Chieh in China who was a disciple of Wu Jien Chuan.
Tai chi is based on a 3,000-year-old system that works with the chi or life-force energy within your body.
When chi is flowing freely, in a balanced manner throughout the body, you have good health. If chi becomes blocked, stagnant or unbalanced in some manner, it leads to tension, discomfort and illness.
This principle is the foundation of Chinese medicine, which includes acupuncture. Tai chi, like acupuncture, works to clear blockages and balance chi within your body. Tai chi has the added benefit that you can easily do it for yourself anytime you wish.
